Check-in information Drachten
Welcome on board
We warmly welcome you on board!
To help you prepare for your boat holiday, we have made this board manual. It contains instructions on operating the boat, navigation rules, sailing routes, and other important information. You can also plan your trip using our suggested routes.
If you are heading out onto the IJsselmeer, the Wadden Sea, the Markermeer, or any other large body of water, please first read the conditions for navigating Zone II under the section “Zone II Waters” in Sailing Information Drachten.
If you have any questions, our team is always ready to assist you!
We wish you a pleasant journey!
Team De Drait
Important information
To make your holiday as pleasant as possible, we have compiled an overview of important information.
- Treat the boat as it is your own.
- Always follow the instructions given by the Drait staff.
- Always navigate using the most up-to-date water cards or a Reliable navigation app.
- Commercial vessels always have priority. Overtaking commercial Trafic is NOT allowed, as it can lead to dangerous situations.
- Check the battery capicity before departure. We recommend switching between one day/night connected to shore power and one day/night in nature to maintain the batteries.
- The batteries provide power for electrical equipment such as the coffee machine, microwave/oven, hair dryer, phone chargers, and stereo. Be careful not to use too many devices at once, as this may overload the batteries. The maximum power load is 2 kilowatts (2000 watts).
- In case the batteries are overloaded and permanently damaged due to the use of your own equipment (e.g., stereo, beer tap), we will unfortunately have to charge repair costs.
- Plan your trip carefully and be aware of the water depth.
- The Campi and BunBo boats are not suitable for long distances and for sailing on major canals. We definately do not recommended this for beginners. Please explore the beautiful alternative routes.
- Sailing is only permitted between sunrise and sunset. It is NOT allowed to sail during twilight or in the dark.
- Planning to sail on the IJsselmeer, Wadden Sea, or Markermeer? More information and a permission form can be found under the heading “Zone II waters” in Sailing Information Drachten.
- No rights can be derived from this onboard manual. If you have any questions or doubts, please contact De Drait.

Departure & Return
To prevent the boat from running around in shallow water, we advise you to follow the route shown and to stay within the green and red navigation buoys when leaving or returning to the marina.
The prohibition signs indicate a shallow route. Although red and green buoys are present here, due to the shallow areas directly next to the fairway we recommend taking the blue route around the right side of the island. The main navigation route goes around the island on the left, towards Earnewoude, Grou, and Sneek. Turning right takes you towards Opeinde, but this is only possible if your vessel has an air draft of less than 3 metres due to fixed bridges.
Bookable Extras
To make your stay as pleasant as possible, we have several extras to book. An overview of our additional extras can be found on our website under ‘Additional extra’s to book‘ or our pricelist.
